1שִׁוִּיתִי ה' לְנֶגְדִּי תָמִיד. הַיְינוּ שֶׁבְּמָקוֹם שֶׁיִּשְׁתּוֹקֵק הָאָדָם לְדָבָר יִרְאֶה אִם הוּא רְצוֹן הַש"י, לֹא יֹאמַר מֵאַחַר שֶׁאֲנִי מִשְׁתּוֹקֵק בֶּטַח הוּא רְצוֹן הַש"י.“I have set God before me always ….” (Tehilim, 16:8)When a man greatly yearns for something, he should see that the object of his desire is God’s will. He should not say that, “since I desire it so greatly then it must be God’s will.”
