    א. כְּשֶׁעוֹשֶׂה אָדָם אֵיזֶהוּ דָּבָר בֶּאֱמוּנָה וְנִכְשָׁל בְּאֵיזֶה מִכְשׁוֹל, יִבְטַח שֶׁהַקָּדוֹשׁ־בָּרוּךְ־הוּא יַצִּילוֹ, וְהַקָּדוֹשׁ־בָּרוּךְ־הוּא הִזְמִין לוֹ אֶת הַמִּכְשׁוֹל כְּדֵי שֶׁיַּעֲשֶׂה דֶּרֶךְ כְּבוּשָׁה לְבָנָיו בְּזאת הַמִּכְשׁוֹל, שֶׁיִּנָּצְלוּ מִמֶּנּוּ.

    When in the course of doing something with faith a person encounters adversity, he should trust that the Holy One will save him. God arranged this obstacle for him so that he should pave the way for his sons to be saved from this same adversity.
