When speaking in conversation, think only of adhesion-Dveikut to HaShem, the Creator, blessed is He, rather than other thoughts. When studying Torah, you must think about the subject you are learning, and through this you will properly cleave to Godliness.

וצריך בכל פעם לעסוק בתורה שהוא עץ חיים למחזיקים בה. אבל כשמדבר רק דברים בטלים ויסמוך על הדביקות יזהר מאוד שלא יפול לפעמים מהדביקות.
One must always be occupied with the study of Torah, for it is,51Proverbs 3:18 “A tree of life for those who grasp it.” However, if you are engaged in mundane conversation and are relying on your adhesion-Dveikut to HaShem, be very careful not to fall at times, from your adhesion to Him.
