The issur of rechiluth obtains even if he does not reveal to him anything new, he himself knowing that thus and thus did Ploni speak about him or that he did this and this thing that affected him; but he did not yet reflect upon whether Ploni wronged him thereby, and this talebearer reminds him of this. (As when Reuven left [the court] liable in the judgment, and Shimon met him and asked him: "What happened with your case?" And Reuven answered: "I was found liable for this and this," whereupon Shimon said: "They did not judge you correctly," and the like.) Even so, this is called rechiluth for by his speaking, a new perspective is created which leads to implanting hatred in his heart against Ploni.
