And if he transgressed and spoke rechiluth against his friend and came to repent for his sin, there is no amendment for him until he asks forgiveness of him and conciliates him. And he must also repent to his Maker for having transgressed "You shall not go talebearing among your people." And all the details of his din are the same as in the instance of lashon hara (see above, Part One, Principle IV, section 2, and the Be'er Mayim Chayim).
