And know further that there is no difference in the issur of rechiluth as to whether he told Reuven himself what Ploni said against him or whether he related this thing to Reuven's wife or his relatives. For certainly it will be taken ill by them, and they will hold it against Ploni. Therefore, even if he exhorted them not to tell this to anyone, the thing does not leave the category of rechiluth.
וְדַע עוֹד, דְּאֵין שׁוּם חִלּוּקּ בְּאִסוּר רְכִילוּת, בֵּין אִם הוּא מְסַפֵּר לִרְאוּבֵן גּוּפֵה, מַה שֶּׁפְּלוֹנִי דִּבֵּר עָלָיו, אוֹ מְסַפֵּר דָּבָר זֶה (ג) לְאֵשֶׁת רְאוּבֵן וּקְרוֹבָיו, כִּי בְּוַדַּאי יֵרַע בְּעֵינֵיהֶם, וְיִנְקְטוּ בְּלִבָּם עַל פְּלוֹנִי עֲבוּר זֶה, וְלָכֵן אֲפִלּוּ אִם הִזְהִירָם, שֶׁאַל יִוָּדַע מֵהֶם דָּבָר, לֹא נָפְקָא דָּבָר זֶה מִכְּלַל רְכִילוּת.
