בהעלות המנחה בעש״ק הוא עת מסוכן למחלקת בין איש לאשתו ובין המשרתים והרבה טורח הסט״א בזה לחרחר ריב. והאיש הירא יכוף יצרו ולא יעורר שום מחלקת והקפדה ואדרבא יבקש שלום וילך לשלום ויתפלל מנחת עש״ק כהוגן בישוב ובחזרה כי הוא זמן גילוי אורות ש״ק בשמים ממעל:
The afternoon of Erev Shabbat Kodesh is a dangerous time for dispute between husband and wife, for the Sitra Achra (lit. other side, i.e. the kelipot) spends much effort to cause a dispute. One who is fearful should subjugate his yetzer (inclination) and not provoke any dispute or hostility, on the contrary, one should seek shalom. And one should go in shalom and pray mincha of Erev Shabbat Kodesh properly, for this is the time of revelation of the lights of Shabbat Kodesh in heaven above!
