אל יכנס אדם לשבת כשהוא מעונה לפיכך אין להתענות בע"ש סמוך להדלקת הנר יטעום תבשילו והזוכה מתענה ומשלים:
Let a man not enter the Sabbath if he is afflicted.1Erubin 41a. Therefore one is not to fast on the eve of the Sabbath.2Shulhan Arukh, “Orah Hayim,” 249, Mogen Avraham, note 7.
