“The remainder [of the 25,000 measuring rod] length along the sanctified [portion of] the Terumah...” – of the 25,000 measuring rods of length, the city occupied only 5,000 – “10,000 to the east and 10,000 to the west” – should be used for fields. “Its produce will serve as food for the workers of the city.”1Yechezkel 48:18.
