נהר יח - לבאר כללות של כל הנשמות מישראל הם ס' ריבוא:
River 18 - To explain that the total of all the souls of Israel are 600,000:

דע כי כללות כל הנשמות הם ס' רבוא, והתורה היא שורש הנשמות של ישראל ולכן יש כנגדה ס' רבוא פירושים, אשר כפי כל אחד מהפירושים משם נתהווה שורש נשמה אחת מישראל. ולעתיד לבא כל אחד ואחד מישראל יקרא וידע כל התורה כפי הפירוש המגיע לשרשו אשר על ידו נברא, וכן הוא בגן עדן. אמנם יש נשמה שכוללת כמה וכמה פירושים, והנה נשמת משה רבינו עליו השלום היתה כוללת כל הס' רבוא ולכך ידע כל הס' רבוא פירושים:
Know that the total of all the souls are 600,000, and the Torah is the root of the souls of Israel, and therefore there are correspondingly 600,000 interpretations, so that according to each one of the interpretations, from there one Israelite soul root came into being. And in the future to come, each and every member of Israel will read and know the whole Torah according to the interpretation that reaches their root by which they were created, and that is how it is in the Garden of Eden. Actually, there are souls that include multiple interpretations, and indeed, the soul of Moses our teacher, peace be upon him, included all 600,000, and thus he knew all 600,000 interpretations.

גם בלילה בעת השינה מי שזוכה לעלות הוא קורא שם אותו הפירוש המגיע אל שורשו והכל לפי מעשיו:
Also at night, while sleeping, anyone who merits to rise up, reads there the interpretation that reaches their root, and all according to their deeds.

ודע כי הרב האלה"י כמוהר"ר יצחק לוריא אשכנזי זלה"ה היה רואה במצח האדם הפסוק והפירוש השייך בו כפי נשמתו, והיה מבארו לו כי בזה תתעלה נשמתו למעלה לאין קץ, ויתגלו לו דברים אחרים, והחומר לא ירגיש בזה. ודע כי ס' ריבוא פירושים הנזכרים הם כפי הפשט, וכנגדם יש גם כן ס' רבוא באגדה, וכנגדם ס' רבוא בקבלה, וכן כיוצא בזה אין לך נשמה שאינה כלולה מכולם. מהרי"א זלה"ה, וזמש"ל:
And know that the divine master, our honorable teacher the master, our rav Isaac Luria Ashkenazi, may his memory be for life in the world to come, would see on a person’s forehead the verse and the interpretation belonging to them according to their soul, and would explain it to them so that their soul would rise up endlessly, and other things would be revealed to them, which the corporeal could not sense. And know that the 600,000 interpretations mentioned are according to the peshat (the simple meaning), and opposite them there are also 600,000 in aggadah (oral legend) and opposite them, 600,000 in kabbalah (received wisdom), and so on, so that there is no soul that is not included out of all of them. –Our teacher, the master Isaac Ashkenazi, may his memory be for life in the world to come, and this is what he taught.
