הַלֵל: מדרש על מזמורים קי״ג—קי״ח בתהלים שאומרים בר״ח ויו״ט. ומפני שהיו להם מדרש מיוחד על הלל לכן לא נדרשו המזמורים הללו כל צרכן במדרש שוחר טוב שהוא מדרש תהלים. וכמה פסוקים לא דרשו בו כלל כי סמכו על מדרש הלל, מזמור קט"ו לא לנו נשמט כלו ממדרש תהלים, ואפשר מפני שדרשו בו דברים בגנות אמונת האלילים והצלמים שעבדו להם גם הנוצרים.
