‹›
  1. 1

    Pisqa’ 209368H:223; JN2:195-106.
    1. “Then, all the elders of that city” (Dt.21:6)—
even if there are a hundred!
Since we have taught elsewhere:369M.Sot.9:5 cited at Pisqa’ 205.3):
    Three elders or five elders—
Is it possible to say that
    The same applies here?
    The Teaching states:
“All the elders of that city” (Dt .21:6)—
Even if there are a hundred!

  2. 2

    2. “They shall wash their hands over the beheaded calf, in the river-bed” (Dt.21:6)—
over the place of the calf’s beheading.
Is it possible to say that
they should ascend from the river-bed
before reciting [the formula of denial]?
    The Teaching states:
    “In the river-bed” (Dt.21:6)—
let all their recitals and responses come from the river-bed.
