1וְאָמַרְתָּ אֵלָיו, וְלֹא כְּפוּי טוֹבָה.(Devarim 26:2) "and you shall say to him": that you are not ungrateful for (His) good.2הִגַּדְתִּי הַיּוֹם לַה׳ אֱלֹהֶיךָ כִּי בָאתִי, פַּעַם אַחַת אַתָּה קוֹרֵא בַּשָּׁנָה וְאֵין אַתָּה קוֹרֵא פַּעֲמַיִם בַּשָּׁנָה."I have professed this day": You recite (the bikkurim formula) once a year and not twice.3כִּי בָאתִי אֶל הָאָרֶץ אֲשֶׁר נִשְׁבַּע ה׳ לַאֲבוֹתֵינוּ, פְּרָט לַגֵּרִים."that I have come to the land which the L-rd swore to our forefathers": excluding proselytes and slaves;4לָתֶת לָנוּ, פְּרָט לַעֲבָדִים. רַבִּי שִׁמְעוֹן אוֹמֵר: פְּרָט לְעֵבֶר הַיַּרְדֵּן שֶׁנְּטַלְתּוֹ מֵעַצְמְךָ."to give to us": excluding women.
