אֲשֶׁר ה׳ אֱלֹהֵיכֶם נֹתֵן לָכֶם – בִּזְכוּתְכֶם.
“Which HASHEM your God is giving you” (Dt.11:31)— because you deserve it.
“And you shall inherit it, and settle within it” (Dt.11:31)— the reward for inheriting it is the capacity to settle it.17This common-place repeatedly serves as a cliché. Cf.
