וששאלת על ראובן ששכר את שמעון ללמדו אומנות בעלי תריסין וכשלמד יום א' חזר בו נותן לו כל שכרו כפועל בטל דל"ש אומנות דפעולה משאר אומנות וכמה פעמים שאומנות זו יש בה הצלת נפשות כשבאים לסטים על האדם.
Q. A hired B to teach him the gladiatorial art. After learning for a day, however, A changed his mind and refused to continue his studies. A. A must pay B the wages of an "idle worker", for a skill is as important as a handicraft. Moreover, this particular skill may often save a person's life, as in case one is attacked by robbers.
