Q. A sheep's stomach was salted together with other pieces of meat before its heleb (forbidden fat) was cleaned off. Are the pieces of meat and the stomach fit for eating purposes? A. If the volume of the stomach is sixty times the volume of the heleb, the stomach may be eaten after its heleb is cleaned off. Each piece of meat whose volume is sixty times the volume of the heleb is fit for eating purposes, but the smaller pieces are not fit for eating purposes if they touched the heleb.
