כלל גדול, גול אל ה' מעשיך ויכונו מחשבותיך (משלי ט״ז:ג׳) שכל דבר שיזדמן יחשוב שהוא מאתו יתברך שמו, ויראה שיבקש מהשם יתברך שיזמין לו תמיד מה שהשם יתברך יודע שהוא לטובתו, ולא מה שנראה לבן אדם על פי שכלו, כי אפשר מה שבעינו הוא טוב הוא רע לו, רק ישליך הכל כל עניניו וצרכיו עליו יתברך שמו: (צוואת הריב"ש ד"ב ע"א).
The great principle in life is: “Commit you actions to G‑d, and your thoughts will be established” (Proverbs 16:3). Whatever comes to you, imagine that it is from G‑d. Ask G‑d to always give you what He knows is best for you, and not what seems [good] to human intellect. Because what might seem good in your eyes may be bad in His.
