1א. עַל יְדֵי תַּאֲווֹת שֶׁאָדָם תָּאֵב, וְאֵינוֹ מַשִּׂיג אוֹתָם, עַל יְדֵי זֶה בָּא עַצְלוּת וְהוּא הַדִּין לְהֵפֶךְ.Being unable to satisfy one’s desires makes a person lazy. The converse is also the case, [as a person’s laziness keeps him from attaining his desires].
