Regarding blankets made from linen, and between each of the strips, combed wool is placed. It is not woven in, but everything is sewn together. I asked whether it is forbidden to cover oneself with or to lie on such blankets, on account of them being somewhat kilayim, a forbidden mixture of threads1This is the opinion of Rabbeinu Tam cited in Tosafot on Yevamot 5b:5; or whether perhaps they are permitted, since the wool isn't woven in2This is the opinion of Rashi on Yevamot 5b:5:1, at least that this would not constitute a biblical prohibition.

והשיבו ביקש קהלת למצא דברי חפץ איזן וחיקר ותיקן משלים הרבה, ופי' לי כי שלמה גדר גדרים ע"כ דבר איסור ועל הדומה לדומה. ואחר שתי שעות השיבו, הסירו הבגדים הצואים כו' ויאמר מלאך ה' ראה העברתי מעליך עוניך והלבש אותך מחלצות:
They responded: "Kohelet sought to find desirable words... he balanced and examined and invented many parables." (Kohelet 12:9-10) They explained to me that Solomon created fences around what is forbidden, including any similarities. Two hours later, they responded: "Remove these garments of filth! An angel of the Lord spoke: see, I have removed your guilt from you and dressed you with grand robes." (Zechariah 3:4)
